Thursday 12/3/09

**CrossFit Total this Saturday!!! 3 lifts, heavy weights, tons of fun. For those of you unfamiliar with the CrossFit Total check out this link. So make sure you get some good rest, dial in your diet, and take care of your hands for Saturday.

Workout of the Day:
"DT-Lite"
3 rounds for time of:
12 deadlifts
9 hang power cleans
6 jerks (push or split)

Use a weight appropriate for your fitness level. If you are feeling really sore or fatigued, use a lighter weight and use this as a recovery workout.

I am on a total high right now after doing my CrossFit Total tonight(since I have drill this weekend and can't be there for Saturday). I hit 2 PR's, well... three if you count my press since I have never really done a 1RM for that. Here were my totals

Back Squat - 265
Press - 105
Deadlift - 305
Total - 675

I think I could have gone a little heavier on my BS and DL but I was already 10# over my last max for BS and 5# over my max for DL. If only I had one more attempt at each. I was a little disappointed on my press, but that is just something I will have to work harder on. I am just thrilled to see my 1RM numbers going up!

Congrats Kats. Way to push it! I'm totally stoked for you. You've worked hard and it shows in the numbers. It' always great when an effort gets validated and that's what the CFT does. It validates hard work. Big props!
